JBL Grip portable Bluetooth speaker, Black JBLGRIPBLK
Easy to grab and easy to hold, the JBL Grip is the speaker that’s always within reach. The JBL Grip is powerful for its size. JBL Grip may be compact, but its pro sound is big—punchy bass and crystal-clear highs. Whether it’s setting the vibe for mindful morning stretches or soundtracking lazy beach days, the JBL Grip is our go-to. The built-in ambient light on the back panel adapts to the moment, so you can set the mood for chill date nights and spontaneous hangs. Use the convenient side-panel control button to switch between light themes, so the mood is always right whether you're winding down or turning up. Did we mention it’s super tough? The JBL Grip is built to handle anything. With an industry-leading IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating, it goes wherever we do. Its drop-proof design means it can survive a hard fall onto concrete—no party fouls here. All that, plus up to 14 hours of playtime with Playtime Boost. When friends roll through, we’re using Auracast™ to stereo pair two Grips for instant surround sound. Why stop there? We can connect as many JBL Auracast™-enabled speakers as we’ve got for an all-out sound experience. Solo chillin’ or vibing with the crew—the JBL Grip is as flexible as we are.
Key Features:
Bold JBL Pro Sound
The JBL Grip may be small enough to hold in one hand, but it packs bold JBL Pro Sound. With AI Sound Boost, it analyzes music in real time, using an algorithm to optimize output for bigger sound with less distortion.
Up to 14 hours of playtime
Keep the mood going for 12 hours on a single charge—plus an extra 2 hours with Playtime Boost when the vibes are too good to stop.
Ambient light
The speaker’s back panel features an integrated ambient light with unique themes and color options, so you can set the mood to match your mix. Use the JBL Portable app to fine-tune the brightness and lock in your preferred look.
Waterproof, dustproof, and drop-proof
We designed the JBL Grip to handle the bumps and bruises of everyday fun. Along with its waterproof and dustproof IP68 rating, it’s also drop-proof—built to keep playing even after a 1-meter drop onto concrete.
Multi-speaker connection with Auracast™
Want to share the vibes with the crew? With Auracast™, we can easily stereo pair two Grip speakers for a wider soundstage or connect multiple JBL Auracast™-enabled speakers to fill the space with the same playlist.

Why Buy?
Powerful sound that travels wherever life takes you
The JBL Grip delivers surprisingly bold audio from a compact speaker that fits comfortably in one hand, making it easy to bring quality sound to any activity or location.
With up to 14 hours of battery life, this speaker keeps your music playing through long beach days, outdoor workouts, or evening gatherings without needing a recharge. The AI Sound Boost technology automatically optimises your music in real time, delivering punchy bass and clear highs that sound much bigger than the speaker's compact size suggests. The built-in ambient lighting on the back panel creates the right atmosphere for any occasion, whether you're winding down with soft music or energising a party.
Built to handle real-world adventures, the Grip's IP68 rating means it survives dust, dirt, and full water immersion, while its drop-proof design protects against concrete falls. The convenient side controls let you adjust lighting themes without reaching for your phone, and Auracast technology lets you connect multiple speakers for room-filling sound when friends gather.
