Why Buy?
Steam-assisted roasting and a self-cleaning cavity for easier weeknight cooking
The Westinghouse 60cm pyrolytic oven WVEP6918DD takes the guesswork out of roasting, using steam to keep meat, poultry and fish moist while the surface still finishes golden and crisp.
With 19 cooking functions to choose from, including AirFry, you can turn out crunchy, golden chips or wedges using a fraction of the oil a deep fryer needs, so midweek dinners can be a bit lighter without losing flavour. Once cooking is done, the pyrolytic cleaning cycle heats the cavity to a very high temperature, turning baked-on grease and splashes to ash that wipes away in seconds, so there is no need for scouring pads or oven cleaner. Full touch electronic controls make it simple to switch between functions without fiddling with dials, and the included grill/oven pan, wire grill insert, chromed wire shelves, baking tray, side racks and AirFry tray mean you are set up to cook straight away.
Designed and built in Adelaide, this oven is sized to fit a standard 60cm wall cavity, with a dark stainless steel finish that suits most contemporary kitchens and shows fewer fingerprints than plain stainless. The multi-layer glazed door stays cooler to the touch while the oven is running, which is reassuring if you have kids moving through the kitchen while dinner cooks.
Buy this if…
- You want steam-assisted roasting for juicier meat, poultry and fish
- You cook family meals often and want an oven with the functions to match
- You like the idea of AirFry results without a separate air fryer taking up bench space
- You would rather wipe away ash than scrub the oven cavity by hand
- You need a 60cm oven built locally with a cooler-touch door for a busy kitchen
