Why Buy?
Clearer movie dialogue and fuller sound without extra speaker wires
If your TV sound leaves dialogue sounding thin or hard to follow, the Sony BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5 soundbar fixes that with a 3.1 channel system built around Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound, so voices and action fill the room instead of staying stuck in a flat strip of sound.
A dedicated centre speaker keeps conversations sitting clearly above music and effects, so you are not constantly reaching for the remote to rewind a missed line. A wireless subwoofer handles the low end, adding deep, well-balanced bass to movies, sport and music. When speech still gets buried under background noise, Voice Zoom 3 uses AI to pick out human voices and lift them, so quiet or fast talking comes through clearly, even late at night with the volume kept low.
Day to day use stays simple. The remote is shaped to sit comfortably in your hand, with straightforward volume and sound controls, and the BRAVIA Connect app walks you through setup, troubleshooting and updates from your phone. Pair this Sony BRAVIA Theatre Bar 5 with a compatible BRAVIA TV and the two work together for a more connected, cinema-like feel in your lounge room.
Buy this if…
- You want clearer dialogue during movies and TV shows without cranking up the overall volume
- Your lounge room TV sound feels thin or flat on its own
- You want deeper bass handled by a wireless subwoofer instead of running extra cables
- You own or plan to buy a compatible BRAVIA TV and want the sound and screen to work together
- You prefer simple, app-based control over fiddly settings menus
