This Bambu Lab PLA Glow filament in glow yellow is worth having on hand if you want your 3D prints to do more than sit on a shelf. Once charged up under light, finished pieces give off a soft, genuine glow in the dark, adding a bit of fun to models, props, signage or night-time novelties.

The luminous powder mixed into the filament is what creates the glow effect, so no extra paint or coating is needed after printing. Each spool carries its printing settings on an embedded RFID chip, which Bambu Lab's AMS (Automatic Material System) reads automatically, so your printer picks up the right temperature and flow settings without you having to dig through menus or guess at profiles. That means fewer failed prints and less trial and error getting the settings right.

Because this is a specialty filament, it does need a hardened steel nozzle to handle the glow additive properly. Stainless steel nozzles and 0.2mm nozzles are not compatible, so it is worth checking your printer setup before you start a print.
