Why Buy?
Homemade ice cream without a separate machine taking up bench space
The Kenwood Chef XL ice cream attachment turns your Kenwood Chef XL stand mixer into a frozen dessert maker, so you can churn ice cream, sorbet and frozen yoghurt at home without buying and storing a whole extra appliance.
Because it fits directly onto your existing mixer, the attachment does the churning work for you, folding air into the mixture as it freezes so you get a smoother, creamier result than stirring by hand. It suits ice cream, gelato, sorbet and frozen yoghurt, so you can switch up what you make depending on the occasion or what is in the fridge. You control exactly what goes in, which makes it easy to cut back on sugar, avoid additives, or cater to dairy-free and other dietary needs.
It is a neat option for households that already own a Kenwood Chef XL and want more from it, rather than adding another gadget to the cupboard. The bowl attachment simply chills in the freezer beforehand, then locks onto the mixer when you are ready to churn, making it straightforward enough to use on a regular weeknight, not just for special occasions. Clean-up is simple, so it is realistic to bring out often rather than leaving it packed away.
Buy this if…
- You already own a Kenwood Chef XL and want to get more use out of it
- Your household enjoys homemade ice cream, sorbet or frozen yoghurt
- You want more control over sugar, ingredients or dietary requirements in frozen desserts
- You would rather add an attachment than find space for another standalone appliance
- You like making desserts from scratch for family dinners or entertaining
