Why Buy?
Fuller movie sound without extra speakers everywhere
The JBL Bar 500 MK2 5.1 virtual Atmos soundbar fixes the biggest letdown of modern flat TVs: thin, flat sound that undersells whatever you're watching. With 750 watts of power and a wireless 10-inch subwoofer, this JBL Bar 500 brings proper weight and punch to films, footy and games alike.
Dolby Atmos processing builds a sense of height and space into the sound, so effects feel like they're moving around and above you rather than just left to right. PureVoice 2.0 keeps dialogue clear even during loud action scenes, and MultiBeam 3.0 spreads the sound wide enough that it doesn't matter whether you're on the couch or off to one side. Music streamed from your usual apps also picks up more depth and detail than TV speakers can manage.
It sits low and unobtrusive under most screens, works with any TV brand, and pairs with the JBL ONE app for quick setup and sound tuning from where you sit. There's no rear wiring or extra speaker boxes to find space for, just one bar and a wireless sub doing the heavy lifting.
Buy this if…
- You want cinema-style bass and dialogue clarity without wall-mounted speakers
- Your TV sound feels thin compared to how good the picture looks
- You watch a mix of movies, sport and music and want all of it to sound fuller
- You'd rather set up once through an app than fiddle with multiple components
- Your lounge room needs a soundbar that works regardless of TV brand
