Why Buy?
A phone that opens into a bigger screen exactly when you need it
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra in Violet Shadow closes down to pocket size and unfolds into a bright, wide display for reading, work or video, giving you two devices in one. If you have been comparing the samsung fold 8 ultra 256gb, this is the version with the largest storage option so you are not deleting photos to make room.
Unfolding the screen means you can run two apps side by side, replying to messages while checking a map or reading a document without constantly swapping between windows. The main display sits brighter than the previous generation and cuts glare, so text and photos stay clear whether you are outdoors, in an office or on a call. A dual titanium layer sits underneath the screen for added strength, and the aluminium frame with Corning Gorilla Glass is built to handle daily bumps. A 5000 mAh battery gets you through long days of video and browsing, with fast charging when you do need a top-up.
Closed, it slips into a pocket or small bag like any other phone. Opened, it gives you the working room of a small tablet, which suits people who read reports, edit on the move or simply prefer more screen for less effort. The Violet Shadow finish adds a quieter, distinctive colour option away from the usual black or silver.
Buy this if…
- You want a phone that becomes a tablet-sized screen on demand
- You regularly multitask between two apps and want to view them together
- You need generous on-device storage for photos, apps and files
- You are after a distinctive colour finish rather than standard black or silver
- You want strong battery life to cover a full day of video and browsing
