Why Buy?
Fresh-ground espresso at home, without the café queue
The Breville Barista Express Charcoal turns whole beans into a proper espresso in under a minute, so your morning coffee tastes noticeably fresher than anything from a pod machine.
Because the grinder is built into the machine, beans are ground and dosed right before extraction, keeping all the flavour and aroma that fades once coffee sits pre-ground. A low-pressure pre-infusion followed by full 9-bar extraction pulls a rich, well-balanced shot every time, while the 54mm stainless steel portafilter holds enough freshly ground coffee for real body and depth in the cup. The powerful steam wand lets you texture milk by hand, so flat whites and lattes come out with proper silky microfoam rather than thin, bubbly froth.
It sits comfortably on the benchtop and fits easily into a daily routine, with simple one and two-shot buttons for quick mornings and manual control when you want to fine-tune a pour. Once you get to know your grind setting, it becomes second nature, and the solid build means it is made to handle daily use for years, not just weekends.

- You prefer freshly ground coffee over pods or pre-ground bags
- You enjoy texturing your own milk for lattes and flat whites
- You want one machine that grinds, brews and froths
