Inside, the capsule spins at up to 7,000 rotations per minute, blending ground coffee with water for a proper crema on every cup. Choose from five sizes, cold brew, mug, gran lungo, double espresso or espresso, so the same machine covers a quick morning espresso and a slower afternoon coffee. Once brewing finishes, the used capsule ejects on its own into the drawer, so there's no fiddling with a lever or a messy benchtop to deal with afterwards.
At just 142mm wide, this is one of the more compact machines in the Vertuo range, so it tucks neatly onto a smaller benchtop without looking out of place. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity let it update its own software in the background, keeping brewing accurate as new capsule blends come out.
