3. An IP55 rating means that under test conditions the product is protected against quantities of dust that could interfere with the normal operation of the product but is not fully dust-tight. The product is completely protected against solid objects. It is also protected against low pressure water jets projected by a nozzle (<6.3mm) from any angle and at <30KPa (4.4 PSI) with water volume up to 12.5L/min for up to 3mins with limited ingress permitted. According to accredited test results, individual results may vary. Note: IP55 rating does not mean that the device is waterproof.
