Its ok but tuner doesn't have AM
Firstly, let me say that Bing Lee have provided in their product highlights that this clock radio has tuner band AM - it doesn't ! It only has FM band in analogue reception.
This is my review of Blaupunkt FM, Clock Radio, BAC23BTC. This parcel has arrived in the Post. I've purchased this item from Bing Lee for $59 ( because my nearest Bi-Rite Electrical store which advertised this clock radio model in their catalogue was not available even after 2 months of waiting for it). Bing Lee offered Afterpay, interest free which was good.

Features of this clock radio are:

• Analogue only FM radio reception.

• Large numbers on the LED display (with brightness adjustment)

• Bluetooth (single, it paired fine with my Android smartphone).

• Audio In, AUX 3.5mm headphone socket. Listen to an external audio device such as an MP3 player ( although audio input cable was not supplied ).

• Dual alarm with Snooze and Sleep timer.

• USB charging socket, 5V. 1A

• Built in smart phone stand with space to thread the USB charge cable under it. ( USB charge cable is not included ).

• It has only analogue FM. ( No sense of spending more money for DAB+ because digital FM radio broadcast is not available in my location in regional Victoria). FM reception is ok in the afternoons. The antenna is thin pig tail wire which needs to be hanged somewhere. Store up to 20 FM stations. It only has flat buttons to scan stations. There is no dial. The FM frequency is 87.5 - 108 MHz.

• The sound is not loud. The sound is mono. The audio output is 3 watt RMS. This clock radio has only a single speaker driver, size 1 x 2", 3 Ω. So if you're looking for a loud sound this is not for you. The sound level was adequate for my needs.

This clock radio also uses 2 x AA batteries (Not included). Battery is used for clock back up only to maintain clock operation without LED display when electrical power has been interrupted. This is a good feature for me because we have a lot of power outages in my location.

• The settings buttons were ok but you will need to have petite fingers. The buttons and exterior are black or charcoal coloured so they're difficult to read even in day time.

• The instruction manual included was ok to follow although the size of the font letters could have been larger.

• 24 month domestic warranty from Ayonz.

Outside the front and rear of the packaging the print reads "1924, Germany" although this is misleading because this model is Made in China.

• This clock radio needs to be connected to mains power and plugged into a wall socket.

This clock radio has a thin wire 'power cord' attached to a plug-in power adapter ( disappointed ).

I downloaded the instruction manual before I purchased this clock radio and there was nothing mentioned of this power adapter in the information. Nor was this adapter shown in any of their photographs. ( I really don't need anymore of these power adapters. I hope manufacturers will listen and stop with these power adapters. They don't last long, most of the time. They become hard rubbish in waste for more landfill ).

Overall this clock radio is adequate for my needs and for the price. The main features of which i really wanted were: Analogue FM only, large LED display for the clock digits, Bluetooth, USB charging socket.

I don't know if this clock radio will have longevity. I've only just received it today.
