Dyson is a British manufacturer of vacuum cleaners, hand dryers and bladeless fans, among other technologies. The Dyson venture started when James Dyson became frustrated with the existing technology, thinking he could do better than everything on the market. In 1978, while vacuuming his home, James realized his bag vacuum cleaner was constantly losing suction power. He noticed how dust quickly clogged the pores of the bag and blocked the airflow, so that suction dropped rapidly. He set to work to solve this problem. 5 years and 5,127 prototypes later, the world's first cyclonic bagless vacuum cleaner arrived. What started out as experimentation in James Dyson’s backyard turned into multinational retailing in over 50 countries. Today, Bing Lee sells a panoply of home appliances, from the cordless vacuum cleaner to the stubborn dirt brush.
